All About Eve (Two-Disc Special Edition)

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Half the things I ever say are either direct quotes from this movie or attitudes I have stolen, expropriated and emulated. I'm really Margo Channing with a Goatee...and without the spectacular Broadway career, and without the Edith Head gowns. No ones perfect.

Been there, haven't done that.

All About Eve is a 1950 American drama film written and directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, based on the 1946 short story "The Wisdom of Eve", by Mary Orr.

The film stars Bette Davis as Margo Channing, a highly regarded but aging Broadway star. Anne Baxter plays Eve Harrington, a willingly helpful young fan who insinuates herself into Channing's life, ultimately threatening Channing's career and her personal relationships. George Sanders, Celeste Holm, Hugh Marlowe, Barbara Bates, Gary Merrill and Thelma Ritter also appear, and the film provided one of Marilyn Monroe's earliest important roles.

I'm actually writing a post about this video right now. A few  people ask me where it was shot. Ummm ya...that's a long story. It was shot in my head and in my basement. Nice basement eh? I'm going to write a more detailed explanation about what the heck this is. Let's just call it a creative U-Turn for now.
